This was implemented in 350ecfec and reverted in 700bb843 after it broke “make distcheck”. With other changes in this patch series this will work now. The timeout is always between ~0.1 and ~10.0 seconds. A small variation of ±5% is added to prevent different jobs from fighting each other. After 10 attempts to acquire the locks with a timeout, a blocking acquire is made. Lock status reporting will be improved in a separate patch. Signed-off-by:

ganeti-confd is a simple asynchronous daemon, which listens on a UDP port, passes each packet to a processor, and sends back to the client the result. It also listens on an inotify socket, in order to reload its configuration when the ganeti config file changes. Signed-off-by:
