Implement job submission for scripts · 94428652
      Iustin Pop authored
This patch adds the infrastructure for executing a job in background,
instead of foreground, via a new “--submit” option. The behaviour is
that the job ID is printed and the script will immediately exit.

The patch also converts gnt-node list to this model (yes, this will be a
      query in the future).

AddNode: move the initial setup to boostrap · 827f753e
      Guido Trotter authored
From the master node we can't start ssh and connect to the remote node,
nor we can do it from ganeti-noded as this ssh section will possibly ask
for key confirmation and password. So the code to copy the ganeti-noded
password and SSL key has been moved to bootstrap.py, and it's called by
      gnt-node before the AddNode opcode.

AddNode: Check for node existance · 05ccd983
      Guido Trotter authored
In the "new world" we'll need to setup ganeti-noded via ssh on the node
before calling the AddNode opcode. Before doing it we'll check that the
node is not already in the cluster, if --readd was not passed. This
guarantees we're not going to restart ganeti-noded on a running node.

This patch also incidentally fixes a non-style-guide conformant
      docstring.

Add a ‘tags’ field to instance and node listing · 130a6a6f
      Iustin Pop authored
Currently there isn't any easy way to list all nodes or instance and
their tags; you have to query each node in turn, or list all the tags
via something like “gnt-cluster search-tags '.*'”. Of course, this is
      not optimal.

The patch adds a new fields to “gnt-instance list” and “gnt-node list”
called ‘tags’, that will list the tags of the object in comma-separated
form. This field will be empty if there are no tags (when using a
separator this output can still be parsed by other scripts).

At opcode level, there is a new fields called ‘tags’ that returns a
(python) list of the object tags.

[Forward-port of the 1.2 branch patch]

This patch removes all the parameters and options from the output
"gnt-X" (i.e. the subcommand list for command). This is done in order to
uniformize the output, currently only some parameters are shown and they
are not always consistent (e.g. required versus important parameters).

Improve the documentation of query output fields · d8a4b51d
      Iustin Pop authored
The gnt-node and gnt-instance list commands have a customizable list of
output fields, but the list is not up to date (in the man page) and not
easily understandable from the ‘--help’ output.

This patch updates the man pages and adds the available fields and
default fields in the ‘--help’ output, as part of the description.

      Example:
      Usage
      =====
        gnt-node list

Lists the nodes in the cluster. The available fields are (see the man page for
      details): name, pinst_cnt, pinst_list, sinst_cnt, sinst_list, pip, sip,
dtotal, dfree, mtotal, mnode, mfree, bootid. The default field list is (in
order): name, dtotal, dfree, mtotal, mnode, mfree, pinst_cnt, sinst_cnt.

      Implement gnt-node evacuate · a5bc662a
      Iustin Pop authored
This patch adds a new 'evacuate' subcommand to gnt-node. The command
will do a replace disks for all instances having that node as secondary
with the new target being the new node given.

      The syntax is:
        gnt-node evacuate src_node target_node

The command by itself doesn't do any resource checks, and instead relies
on the LUFailoverInstance code to do that.

Change LUQueryNodes to return raw values and support selective listing · ec223efb
      Iustin Pop authored
LUQueryNodes it's very similar to LUQueryNodeData, but it lacks two
      features:
        - instance list (it has count though), both primary and secondary
        - selective node listing

In order to support these features, we change it to return raw values
instead of stringified ones (like the recent change to LUQueryInstances)
and to support query-ing of a restricted set of nodes.

This CL also modifies the gnt-node script to conform to the new protocol
and the opcode OpQueryNodes to support the new "nodes" attribute.

The new version also fixes many pylint-generated warnings, especially in
