Currently two of the ;; ending the case bodies are not indented with anything. Reindent all of them to the body of the loop, as it's done somewhere else in the init script. Signed-off-by:

This patch adds a couple of both externally and internally reported issues: - missing SGML tags (Issue 54), report and patch by superdupont - wrong variable used in the init.d script, report and patch by Karsten Keil <karsten-keil@t-online.de> - man page for gnt-instance reinstall needs clarification (Issue 56) - gnt-instance man page missing --disks documentation for replace-disks - gnt-node modify help output is unclear about the -C/-D/-O input format, and the man page doesn't document this command at all - “gnt-node modify -C yes” for offline or drained nodes had wrong error message - “gnt-instance reinstall --select-os” has wrong prompt, we only accept a number for the OS and not the template name Reviewed-by: ultrotter

This (big) patch reworks the master startup/shutdown and the fixes the master failover. What does the patch do? For master start/stop: - remove the old ganeti-master script and its associated man page - moves the ip start/stop directly into the backend.(Start|Stop)Master - adds start/stop of the master/rapi daemon into these functions, selectively based on the start/stop arguments - makes the master call via rpc StartMaster(start_daemons=False) to the local node so that the master IP is started - and finally changes the example init.d script to directly start and stop all three daemons, since they do the right thing (depending on master/not master role) For master failover: - moves the code from LUMasterFailover into bootstrap.MasterFailover, since we need to start/stop the master during this operation and thus it can't be executed from the master - removes the LUMasterFailover and its associated opcode Notes: ubuntu's /etc/lsb-base-logging.sh is dumb, so the messages 'not master' are not seen during startup on non-master nodes. Rather than searching for the ganeti daemons by name we'll use the pidfile they create to stop them. This change also adds the --oknodo option to start-stop-daemon when stopping ganeti (which means it won't give an error if it wasn't started). Reviewed-by: iustinp

Currently in order to deal with tmpfs /var/run, we create the BDEV_CACHE_DIR in the init script. However, that does not cover all the cases, and it's not a proper place to deal with it: for example, dealing with not initialized clusters and the master node is more complicated. Therefore, this patch does: - make ganeti-noded create the directory automatically - make ganeti-noded error out if it can't create it or it's already there but not a directory - remove the creation from the init.d script Reviewed-by: ultrotter

The script (which is geared towards Debian) is actually not fully compliant, as lintian generates a warning on it - the S runlevel is not a valid one in the "Stop" stanza. This patch removes "S" from the stop list. Reviewed-by: imsnah

The /var/run directory can be a tmpfs mount, so even if we make it at install time (or include it in the package) it can go away. Therefore, test for its existence and create it in the startup script. Reviewed-by: imsnah

- move the master node name from the ConfigWriter to SimpleStore (all nodes need this, and it was the only thing pulled in from the ConfigWriter on nodes) - fix mcpu.py and the testing w.r.t. this change; for testing, rename the fake_config.py to mocks.py and add a FakeSStore object - then add a ganeti-master script which can be run on any node at boot and which will not do anything if not master on start (on stop it will still try to remove the ip address) - also add a new cluster-wide variable (master_netdev) that determines on which interface we add this ip address; it's customizable at cluster init time - also remove the cluster name file which was separately handled from ssconf (not needed anymore) - remove the master init.d links from the list of config files as this is not our responsibility now
