This patch replaces the hand-written lists of fields, sometimes incomplete, wrong or inconsistent, with generated ones. What's not very nice yet is the representation for numbered lists (“nic.ip/0: IP address of 1st network interface”, “nic.ip/1: IP address of 2nd network interface”, etc.), but some kind of grouping can be done later. If for some reason (e.g. failed migration) one instance is running on multiple nodes the output can become inconsistent. To get that error and make it consistent between runs we make the call on the secondary too and look if it's running there. If so we report the instance as ERROR_wrongnode. Signed-off-by:

In some cases (e.g. the hypervisor not running at all), we might want to force disk deactivation, skipping the hypervisor checks. I believe this is not a good thing to do all the time, so this patch adds the force option to allow manual selection of this operation mode. Signed-off-by:

This tool was used and worked on internally for quite a long time. We decided to include it in Ganeti. Known issues: - Code doesn't match rest of Ganeti (e.g. using “print” all over the place, hardcoded calls to sys.exit deep in functions) - Code duplication from Ganeti library (e.g. PingByTcp/netutils.TcpPing, GetHosts/utils.ReadFile) - Using ssh-agent doesn't work with more than one worker (Paramiko keeps the socket open and the file descriptor is used from different workers) - No clear separation between parent and child process in code - Uses getopt instead of optparse Signed-off-by:

Currently, it's not easy to generate “fake” IAllocator request files for hail. As such, testing on simulated clusters is hard to do. To workaround this, we change hail to also take the ‘-t’ and ‘--simulate’ options, so that we can override the cluster data read from the request. Note that this will not change the request itself (so for example an evacuation will need to make sure uses the correct node names), but it's a step forward in testing hail. The other tools already can use text files which allow for better flexibility. Signed-off-by:
