<h1>Master Node Hostname</h1>
<p>
Every Lambda Instance has a single Master Node. The Master Node is the only
VM from those that comprise the Lambda Instance that has a public IP and is thus accessible through the internet. You can follow the steps described bellow to find the hostname of this VM.
</p>
<p><img src="assets/img/master-node-hostname-guide.png" alt="master-node-hostname-guide.png" width="1000" height="250"></p>
<ol>
<li>
Log in the LoD Service VM using your ~okeanos token.
</li>
<li>
From the sidebar, select "Instances".
</li>
<li>
Click on the name of the Lambda Instance you chose or the corresponding "Details" button.
</li>
<li>
On the list of properties that are desplayed, the fourth one, namely "Hostname of master node" is the hostname of the Master Node of your Lambda Instance.
</li>
</ol>
<p>
The hostname of the Master Node can be used to access the Master Node, either via ssh, or to send data to an Apache Kafka topic.
